Gerber Life College Plan
GerberIf you were like I am and saw life insurance listed under education, you would think I am off my rocker! Then I started reading about it and thought that this is the ideal product to bring to you. Gerber provides a life insurance policy that actually saves for your child's college education. Not all of are blessed with genius scholorship winners or outstanding athletes, so it is time to think about this. They have premiums as low as $1.00 per day that give a $10,000 return when you child is off to college, so I figure you can't miss there. If they don't go to college, use the funds to get them started in life or any other way you see fit.

Click N Kids
Click N KidsClick N Kids is like Hooked On Phonics on steroids. This is a reading and spelling program using the computer's cutting edge technology. My third grader sat down and started working on it right away and couldn't get her away from it to come to dinner. It is set more like a classroom situation, but exciting for everybody. I just got to the point that I would rather my kids sit in front of this and play rather than watching SpongeBob (not that I don't love SpongeBob!). It's progression from letter sounds to letter blends, to full word sounds is excellent. It builds right in to reading quickly and I was more than impressed with it.

Hooked on Phonics
Hooked On Phonics So you have heard of this before or "it worked for you". I know, I know, this was an easy one to add but it really did work for me. My daughter began using this when she started to read and amazed everyone, including her mother. They get you reading "books" (4-8 page ones) in no time and they have an amazing successful feeling. She was so excited that all she wanted to do was read. Now in third grade she reads at a sixth grade level an I could not be happier. So if you haven't tried it, just do it.
